Emma is no longer attached to play in the films Your Voice In My Head OR Cinderella.
Variety reported that Emma Watson may be taking on the live-action part of famous Disney princess Cinderella, with her former Harry Potter costar Sir Kenneth Branagh directing. The project is in early talks right now, and Oscar winner Cate Blanchett would portray the evil stepmother.
The 22-year-old will be joining the likes of Dame Helen Mirren and Kate Winslet as a waxwork at Madame Tussauds in London from March.
“Emma is one of the most requested personalities by our guests,” says PR manager Nicole Fenner. “She’s a true English rose.”
Emma will be modelled sitting on a chaise longue so that fans can snap themselves sitting next to the British star. She will be dressed for the red carpet in an Elie Saab dress that she wore in 2011.
Deadline is reporting that Harry Potter actress Emma Watson may take on a supporting role in director Darren Aronofsky’s biopic Noah, based on the historic story behind the famous ark builder. Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe is set to play Noah, while Emma’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower costar Logan Lerman will portray one of Noah’s sons, Ham. Emma herself is in talks to play Ila, who is “a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem [played by Douglas Booth].”
There is no confirmation on if Emma has taken on the role.
David Yates is exiting Your Voice in My Head, the Warner Bros film that had been expected to be his next movie after completing the Harry Potter series. I’m told that Yates dropped out for personal reasons involving a family health situation. Yates was going to do the film with his Potter star Emma Watson and wanted to postpone, but the writers and producers didn’t want to wait.
Beyond Chris Nolan and Ben Affleck, Warner Bros tends to bring every script is has to Yates, and that was a primary reason the studio was interested. Your Voice in My Head is the Emma Forrest-scripted drama based on the scribe’s memoir. Watson is playing a young woman who attempts suicide before being saved by a New York-based psychiatrist who’s dying of cancer. Watson and Yates worked together on the last four Harry Potter films. Yates was eyeing big male start to play the male lead, with Stanley Tucci mentioned as one of the possibles. Yates might now do A Reliable Wife at Sony.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Emma Watson will portray herself in a short cameo for a new film titled End of the World by Sony Pictures, which will be directed by Seth Rogan and written by Evan Goldberg. The project was formerly known as The Apocalypse.
This film will feature Rogan and Jay Baruchel as they portray themselves, holed up in an apartment as they deal with the end of the world. Many other actors are also set to portray themselves such as James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson. The script will have fun with the actors, who may or may not make it out alive.
